Q. I want to go to Tibet in September and hopefully spend some time trekking. I would also prefer to have a Tibetan guide and stay in Tibetan-run accommodation. Can anyone recommend a company that can organise a package? Any other advice welcome.

They specialise in small group, fully escorted discovery tours to the far east, including Tibet, Japan, the Silk Road, Bhutan, Turkmenistan and Georgia. The tour leader is a linguist fluent in Tibetan, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, and the company use local-run facilities and guides wherever possible, all of which contributes to a very special travel experience.
